InkWorks Printing LLC, an in-mold and conventional labeling application solutions provider, broke ground on its 13,407 SF addition this month. Once completed, the expansion will allow the company to increase its production by 200%. The project, led by Quasius Construction, is expected to be completed in late Fall 2020.
“We are extremely excited to expand our facility and create the necessary space to meet InkWorks growth plans. This past year has been an extraordinary year of growth and development and we look forward to having the space to continue our momentum,” said Bob Travis, CEO, and Co-owner.
The new single-story metal building expansion will have multiple access points connecting the existing and new space, allowing staff and production to flow seamlessly between departments and create better process efficiencies. The finished space will allow for additional production space to accommodate multiple new high-speed digital presses, new proprietary laminating technology, and state of the art laser cutting machines. The space includes dedicated storage and a chiller room. The existing loading dock located on the north side of the building will be updated to create better access to the shipping and receiving area.
“Quasius is honored to be chosen as InkWorks’ partner as their business continues to grow and expand,” said Gary Gartman, Quasius Vice President Preconstruction. “Our team immediately looked to find ways to effectively meet InkWorks’ project goals and equipment delivery schedule by learning more about its current processes and providing construction solutions.”
Quasius Construction will serve as the Construction Manager for the project and will self-perform the metal building erection, rough and finish carpentry, and concrete work.
