On Wednesday, September 1st 2021, a group of 10 volunteers from Quasius Construction completed a project that included the forming and finishing of roughly 70 yards of concrete to complete site concrete work at the new location of the Humane Society of Sheboygan County (HSSC).
The effort, led by Quasius superintendents Matt Paral and Aaron Tegrotenhuis, began on 8/23 and involved over 70 volunteer man-hours, enlisting the help of Taylor Ready-Mix of Sheboygan who donated the concrete materials.
“It felt great to see everyone come together to help out such an important local organization, I believe it speaks to the values of our company and people.” said Paral about the project.
The Quasius volunteer crew was made up of superintendents, foremen, apprentices, tradesmen, and laborers, and even included President Matt Quasius who assisted on the final day of the pour.
“We are so grateful for the generosity our organization has seen since the start of our capital campaign project” explained Caleb Richter, Director of Development and Marketing for the HSSC. “We are so thankful for the Quasius volunteers that helped us tackle our site concrete needs.”
The new HSSC Carol Hollfelder Animal Shelter is set for a Winter 2021 opening, and will offer an expanded service offering and increased capacity to meet a growing need for their services within the community.
Thank you to all of our volunteers:
